About the Symposium

Sensors and Internet of Things (SIoT) is one of the essential elements that thrives smart city projects. SIoT will drive innovation and nurture collaboration across various disciplines and entities in the public, private and academic sectors. The SIoT promises billions of connected things which in turn require common standards in order to operate with an acceptable, manageable and scalable level of complexity. This conference will bring together global professionals and stakeholders from academia and industry to discuss the importance of SIoT standards for various smart city applications.

This conference will highlight:
  • Integrated sensors and connectivity technologies into IoT solutions that are impacting and expanding markets today
  • Market and applications of Sensors and IoT for smart city such as smart metering, transportation, building and environment management, healthcare
  • International compliance, standards, such as IEEE IoT Index P2668, IEEE 1451, best practices, and measurement on sensors and IoT
